Meet the Chef: Tom Briggs
Trevor Langley interviews Tom Briggs. Tom is a private chef who was born in Nottingham and became interested in food during his childhood years, learning from his Mother and Grandmother. Now he cooks for Nottingham Forest Players, amongst other professionals, and can cook for you too!
Following a catering course at High Peak College, Buxton, Tom worked at venues awarded 2/3 AA Rosettes, plus other restaurants. Tom relocated to Dubai and then returned to the UK, before going to Portugal, gaining a Head Chef position, and also becoming involved with sports people, who came to Portugal to train in the warm weather.
Tom is a massive fan of all sports (particularly football) and cooked for athletes, providing the much-needed nutritional requirements. After returning to Nottinghamshire, this highly regarded chef has a good number of premier league footballers amongst his list of clients.

What was your first job? --- Stacking washing powder and detergent in Co-op.
Where is your favourite holiday destination? --- South Beach Miami.
What is your favourite hotel? --- The Magnolia Hotel (Portugal) / Burj al Arab (Dubai).
Which is your favourite restaurant? --- Restaurant Sat Bains.
What is your favourite food to cook? --- Scallops. When they are perfect it’s a fantastic thing to see.
What is your favourite food to eat? --- Veal Milanese.
Which chefs do you admire? --- Sat Bains / Claude Bosi / Ronnie Bonetti.
If you had not become a chef, what would you have been? --- Normal!
What are your hobbies? --- Football / Netflix / Being outdoors.
Tom's premises is in Long Eaton but he also offer's a private chef service, where he will come and cook for you and your guests in your home. Coming soon are Tom 's Bespoke Nutritional Meal plans
as well as his Juice and Smoothie plans. Ingredients and recipes can be adjusted to suit
personal requirements, including allergies and nutritional needs.
